Give your Olympic Dreams a Push

Introductory and development clinics are available for athletes ages 14 and up. Learn the basics or fine tune your driving skills with guidance from our internationally renowned coaching staff.

Introduction Clinics to Bobsled and Skeleton

After the clinic, if you find that you have “the need for speed”, take the next step in our Advanced Driving School.

Olympic Sliding Experience

Picture yourself racing down the Olympic Track reaching speeds of 50 to 80 miles an hour!  This is a once in a life time experience – everyone needs to try it at least once.  Exhilarating!

Your Olympic Sliding Experience will teach you about the sports of bobsled and skeleton. On March 12 you will have an opportunity to walk the track with our internationally renowned Head Coach Pat Brown.  With his coaching, you will begin driving a bobsled from the Jr. Start, which involves 10 twisting curves to the finish line at speeds of 50 miles per hour.  After sliding, you will be given a tour of the Utah Olympic Park including the 2002 Olympic Winter Games Museum, Olympic Ski Jumps, the Freestyle Pool and all elements of the Bobsled, Luge and Skeleton Track.

On day two, you will have the opportunity to learn how to drive a Skeleton Sled – on your stomach, head first.  This is taking sledding on a “Western Flyer” to the extreme, as you navigate your way down 10 curves with your nose three inches off the ice at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.  In the afternoon, participants will have an opportunity to skate on the “fastest ice in the world” at the Utah Olympic Oval.

Day three will be the grand finale of your Olympic Sliding Experience and will start with a track walk with your coach from the top of the track to the finish. Then you will take a ride in a four-man sled from the top of the track, reaching speeds over 80 miles an hour.  In the afternoon, a reception and awards ceremony will complete your Olympic Sliding Experience.

Dates: March 5 - 7, 2009 or March 12 - 14, 2009
Cost: $1,200 per person
