All Summer Rates are per sled.  All athletes/teams must be approved by the UOP Coaching Staff.  All athletes must sign-in each day of training and receive a wristband.

Summer Season: June 2 –September 5, 2009 (subject to change and is weather dependant)
Tuesdays and Thursday                                             4:00-6:00pm                                                               
Saturdays*                                                                  Noon-2:00pm
(*No Saturday Push Training on June 27, July 11and 25 and August 8, 22 and 29)

UOP Bobsled and Skeleton Development and Performance Camp, Utah Olympic Park
Dates: July 22, 23, 24, 2009 (participants will also participate in the July 25 Evaluation Test listed above)
Camp Hours: 9am to 5pm
Ages: 14 to 24
Cost: $100 per person

Description:  The Utah Olympic Park Bobsled and Skeleton Development Program coaching staff is offering this summer camp to assist new and current program athletes with skill enhancement, core strength development and sport specific technical coaching.  The camp will include age specific weight and dry land training; push techniques and training on the Push Track; and classroom seminars specific to the needs of developing bobsled and skeleton athletes.  This camp is for any person looking to become a bobsled or skeleton athlete, as well as for current athletes who would like to increase their performance.  Registration is required and space is limited so please register early.

UAF Bobsled and Skeleton Development Program

Our Mission:  Produce a Progressive sequence of training opportunities for young athletes helping them build a solid foundation of skills through professional coaching, consistency, confidence and safety.

Goals:

  1. Provide ice time and professional coaching that assists in putting athletes on podiums and on national teams, maximizing individual potential.
  2. Promote responsibility, dependability, accountability, respectability, leadership, teamwork and community involvement/giving.
  3. Provide “open-door”, any time communication.

Participation:

  1. Everyone must take the USBSF Fitness Evaluation Test administered by the UAF Head Bobsled and Skeleton Coach.
  2. A development minimum point/pass score for the UAF Bobsled and Skeleton Development Team will be set by the Head Coach.
  3. All athletes wishing to become a member of the UAF National Development Program or participate in the UAF Club Development Program must be approved by the UAF Bobsled and Skeleton Head Coach, Pat Brown; pat.brown@olyparks.com; 435-658-4252.
