Olympic Sliding Experience
Your Olympic Sliding Experience will teach you about the sports of bobsled and skeleton. On March 4th you will have an opportunity to walk the track with our internationally renowned coaches, including head coach, Pat Brown. You will the begin driving a bobsled from the Jr. Start, which involves 10 twisting curves to the finish line at speeds of 50 miles per hour. After sliding, you will be given a tour of the Utah Olympic Park including the 2002 Olympic Winter Games Museum, Olympic Ski Jumps, the Freestyle Pool and all elements of the Bobsled, Luge and Skeleton Track.
On day two, you will have the opportunity to learn how to drive a Skeleton Sled – on your stomach, head first. This is taking sledding on a “Western Flyer” to the extreme, as you navigate your way down 10 curves with your nose three inches off the ice at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. In the afternoon, participants will have an opportunity to skate on the “fastest ice in the world” at the Utah Olympic Oval.
Day three will be the grand finale of your Olympic Sliding Experience and will start with a track walk with the coaches from the top of the track to the finish. Then you will take a ride in a four-man sled from the top of the track, reaching speeds over 80 miles an hour. In the afternoon, a reception and awards ceremony will complete your Olympic Sliding Experience.
- Participants must be fourteen years and older.
- Participants desiring to drive a Skeleton must be at least 5 feet tall and weight 100+ pounds. Bobsled participants must be at least 5 feet tall and weight 130+ pounds.
NOTE: Olympic Sliding Experience requires a minimum of six (6) participants. If the minimum number is not met, the experience may be cancelled. Please call UOP Sport Services for more information - 435.658.4208.

Refund Policies
- Full Refund (except for $25 processing fee): up to 30 days in advance.
- 50% Refund: 30-5 Days in advance ($25 processing fee is included in that).
- No Refund under 5 days except for medical reasons accompanied by a Doctor’s note. $25 processing fee applied.
