Welcome to the Utah Athletic Foundation's 2010 "Olympic Connection" website!

The 2010 Vancouver Games are upon us, and if youre looking for current information about local athletes and their dreams of Olympic glory, you've come to the right place! Here you will find biographies and stories about a number of hometown Olympic hopefuls who have honed their skills at our UAF venues - like bobsledder Steve Holcomb (Park City) and freestyle aerialist Lacy Schnoor (Draper).

We've also included lots of useful information about various UAF sport programs in which you and your family can become involved. Whether you're interested in sliding head first down the Olympic track on a skeleton sled, gliding gracefully across the "Fastest Ice on Earth" in one of our speed skating classes, or soaring through the air in a freestyle skiing introduction, we have a program for you!

On this website you'll also find detailed descriptions of the nine different sports we feature at Utah Olympic Park (bobsleigh, luge, skeleton, freestyle skiing, and nordic ski jumping) and Utah Olympic Oval, (speed skating, figure skating, hockey and curling). If you're interested in learning more about these sports and their representation at the 2010 Games, just follow the various links we've provided and your questions will be answered.

The Utah Athletic Foundation is dedicated to fostering a legacy of Olympic winter sports in the state of Utah. It is our hope that you will find this "Olympic Connection" website useful and informative before, during and after the 2010 Games. Go USA!
